13:40 : moved from office to visit SATTE Tourism exhition.
14:10 : Reached to the Trade fair venue Pragati Maidan New Delhi.
14:15 : After getting entry card from the registration started visiting fair, collected Catalogues/
brochures, business cards CDs had words with exhibitor (specially from Bhutan, Nepal,
Srilanka, Korea, Thailand, Gujarat , Karnataka, Mumbai, Madhya Pradesh) and took snaps.
17:15 Completed visiting SATTE tourism exhibition.
18:03 Back to office and arranged all brochures, catalogues and cards.
I, Rumi Dhar from Kama Journeys & Hospitality Services Pvt Ltd visited SATTE 2015 Exhibition on 30 Jan 2015 which was held in Pragati Maidan , New Delhi from 29 Jan 15 to 31 Jan 15 in hall number 14 and 18. It was an excellent fair from the way of travel and tourism field. As this time it was covered in two hall but still it doesn’t loose it’s ambiance, too much crowed and people were busy on B2B relations and more in international packages.
Different from last year this many country’s participated in the exhibition. For my amazement, first time Macau introduced in SATTE as new destination for it’s authentic food and culture, United states Las Vegas and California Tourism organization as for adventure, Israel as holy place. Japan for its Serenity. And it’s been two consecutive years when Korean tourism organization and Bhutan has participated with introduction of their airlines. Phillipines,Malaysia and Thailand has same theme and most of the agent were same as last year.
As per my visit what I noticed, this time various countries travel agencies and tourism organization as participated as compare to Indian states tourism.
Regarding domestic tourism ( India tourism) the main attraction was Kerela with theme of Spice route and Karnataka- emphasis on Ayurveda. As it was mentioned that total 800 exhibitor were there… but in my view it is more than 950 exhibitors. Many of the exhibitors are from hotel industries, travel agencies and travel solutions.
For simple information the event features 650 exhibitors from 50 countries, 35 National Tourism Offices and 26 State Tourism Boards.. Over all must go trade fair.
